Plans for new freeway exit move forward

The new exit to Clear Acre Lane is designed to ease traffic congestion on nearby North McCarran Boulevard.
Daily traffic on the northbound offramp at North McCarran Boulevard has risen from 10,000 cars in 1987 to 15,000 last year.
Plans call for construction of the new offramp to begin in January, with completion by October 1999.
"We're real confident we'll meet that date," NDOT spokesman Scott Magruder said.
