Letter: Sun provides balance to Las Vegas' newspapers

Hooray for Brian Greenspun! But for his periodic editorial comments in the Sunday Las Vegas Sun, I'd truly believe Las Vegas was an intellectual desert.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal is irrational and relentless in its attack on our president, his administration, and many others among our cherished institutions.
If the Review-Journal was the only newspaper in town, Las Vegas would be a less desirable place to live. The Sun gives this community some sense of balance. A good example of what I'm referring to can be found in Joseph Sobran's commentary in the June 21 Review-Journal, in which Sobran compares President Clinton to Adolf Hitler!
This is deplorable, to say the least. How can any responsible newspaper print this kind of garbage? It's unfortunate that the R-J is the only early-morning newspaper. Hopefully, someday soon, the Sun will put out an early-morning edition. As a recent resident of Las Vegas, I look forward to that day.
