Roberto Clemente Camp to hold tryouts

The Roberto Clemente All-Stars will hold a tryout for baseball players age 11-19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 11 at Paseo Verde Field in Henderson. If selected, athletes will play on a squad that will travel to Puerto Rice to take on some of world's top amateur teams.

Past participants include major league stars Ivan Rodriquez, Roberto Alomar and Juan Gonzalez. The tryout, which features instruction by National High School Baseball Coach of the Year Rich Santigate, costs $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
