Governor's aide quits to take university post

Regents approved the institute last week, after getting a 30-minute presentation from Nevada first lady Sandy Miller.
The children's institute will be funded for $195,000 a year, initially through grants and donations. UNLV President Carol Harter said a state appropriation will be needed eventually.
