Letter: More isn't better for Mount Charleston
Saturday, May 9, 1998 | 2:35 a.m.
On Mount Charleston, when is enough truly enough? I think now. When the golf course was put in, it was just the beginning. I knew it wouldn't stop there.
Mount Charleston needs the Kyle Canyon shopping center about as much as it needs a couple of huge casinos, which will probably come next. More is not always better.
In the case of Mount Charleston, it already has enough. Pine trees, squirrels, streams, peaceful, tranquil, serene -- it's perfect just being natural. A truly lovely respite from the hectic city life.
Please, Las Vegas officials, stop touching our untouched wilderness areas.
