Body may be linked to another killing

Linda J. Westhpal, 34, was found fatally shot on Sunday in a Grass Valley residence south of Winnemucca.
Two people, Elizabeth A. Powell, 38, and Robert G. Burkman, 30, were arrested the next day for investigation of murder.
During that investigation, authorities said they learned that Powell also may have been involved in the killing of a man north of Winnemucca.
A search by Pershing and Humboldt county sheriff's deputies and officers with the Nevada Division of Investigation turned up the body of a man on Wednesday.
The body was located west of U.S. 95 about 17 miles north of Winnemucca. Authorities said it appears he died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Identification of the victim was pending and an investigation continued.
