Viola G. "Vi" Barrett, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Salt Lake City. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen R. Bede of Las Vegas and Margaret A. Snyder of Porterville, Calif.; two sons, David G. Barrett of Oceanside, Calif., and Stephen J. Barrett of Tracy, Calif.; one sister, Eleanor Cavaretta of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, Kenneth Martinson of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

JAMES ELLIS BAUGHN

James Ellis Baughn, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Elberfeld, Ind. A resident for 20 years, he was a carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local 1089 in Phoenix.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Goodin of Las Vegas; one son, Mark Baughn of Phoenix; one brother, Clarence Baughn of Huntsville, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

BASIL 'ANDY' BOSWELL

Basil "Andy" Boswell, 41, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 13, 1956, in Washington state. A resident for six months, he was a self-employed painter.

He is survived by two sons, Basil Boswell and Christane Boswell, one daughter, Farrah Boswell, and his parents, Basil and Katie Boswell, all of Las Vegas.

BEVERLY BULLARD

Beverly Bullard, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1938, in Waukegan, Ill. A resident for 21 years, she was an animal groomer.

She is survived by one daughter, Kelly Young of Lapeer, Mich.; one son, Michael Wells, and her mother, Irene Riordan, both of Las Vegas; her father, John Gerchar of Chicago; and three grandchildren.

Anthony S. Caldario, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 24, 1912, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired barber.

He is survived by one sister, Frances Bodeau of Las Vegas; and one niece, Maria Wallace of Los Angeles.

Paul DeVilla Carr, 61, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Colorado. A resident for 28 years, he was a Wells Fargo security officer, an Army veteran and a former member of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; one son, Dale Carr; one daughter, Tammy Batty; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Harry Coleman, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A Navy chief warrant officer and veteran of 30 years, he was born June 1, 1924, in Missouri.

He is survived by one brother, Edward Gutierrez of Las Vegas.

Arthur B. Darby, 79, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Hobart, Okla. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired casino pit boss and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Evelyn Sanders of San Antonio and Kathleen Brown and Karen Close, both of Henderson; one son, A.C. Darby of Lewisville, Texas; two sisters, Thelma Jackson of Hobart and LaVerne Hall of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, Norton Derby of Rocky, Okla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Larry Deam Hafele, 48, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1949, in Illinois. A resident for seven years, he was a truck stop security guard.

He is survived by three sons, Jeff Hafele, Matt Hafele and Brian Hafele; his father, Robert Hafele; two brothers, Lane Hafele and Ricky Hafele; and one sister, Donna Chockley.

Deanna Lynn Horn, 42, of Las Vegas died May 8 in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 27, 1955, in California. A resident for 10 years, she was a construction system engineer and a member of Job's Daughters of the Masonic Paternity.

Thomas Edward "T.J." Jack, 72, of Las Vegas died May 13 in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 11, 1926, in Highland Park, Mich. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired taxicab driver for 15 years, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by one sister, Dorothy Compton of Leesburg, Fla.

Alean Johnson, 83, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Terrell, Texas. A resident for eight years, she was a domestic housekeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence Jones of De Soto, Texas, and Horace Johnson Jr. of North Las Vegas; two daughters, Jessie Denmon and Dessie Denmon, and one brother, Harrison Gillaspie, all of Dallas; 23 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

KENT S. JOHNSON

Kent S. Johnson, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 1, 1933, in Rockwall, Texas. A resident for eight years, he was a station manager for the Postal Service and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; two sons, Kenneth Johnson and Kevin Johnson, one daughter, Stephanie Johnson, and one adopted sister, Patricia Williams, all of California; and six grandchildren.

David W. McKinnerney, 75, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1922, in La Grange, Ill. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired printing company pressman, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; two daughters, Irene Bates of Boulder City and Patricia Boggio of La Verne, Calif.; one brother, Ken McKinnerney, and four sisters, Sylvia Schlecte, Marjorie Geri, Alice Crafton and Martha Miller, all of Illinois; and three grandchildren.

HAZEL 'DOLLY' MYERS

Hazel "Dolly" Myers, 21, of Las Vegas, died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 24, 1976, in Houston. A resident for 14 years, she was an entertainer and a supporter of animal rights organizations.

She is survived by her companion, Sean Preston; one child, Jamie; her stepfather, Reed Rasmussen of Las Vegas; one sister, Rebecca Myers, two brothers, Isaiah Myers and Jacob Myers, three half brothers, Anthony Falcone, Frank Falcone and David Falcone, one half sister, Anna West, and her grandmother, Juanita West, all of Nevada.

John Joseph Nolan, 30, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. He was born Sept. 8, 1967, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a program coordinator for a health service organization.

He is survived by his parents, Leo and Dorothy Nolan, and three brothers, Michael Nolan, Thomas Nolan and James Nolan, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Mary Frabbiele of Las Vegas and Therese Wingert of Keller, Texas.

Emma Hortense Perkins, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 25, 1910, in Mineral Wells, Texas. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired registered nurse.

She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Odell Wess of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Perkins of North Las Vegas; one sister, Patricia S. Ford of New Haven, Mich.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Caldwell of Mesa, Ariz., and Grace Stark of Virginia; two sons, Frank Cadwell of Connecticut and Leigh Perry of Petaluma, Calif.; one brother, Bill Schleuning of Connecticut; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Joyce E. Pronio, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Zanesville, Ohio. A resident for 22 years, she and her husband owned H.A. Enterprises, an organization that produced farm machinery and tools for the steel industry. She was distributor of Gulf Oil products, distributor and installer of Kool Vent Aluminum Awnings, had real estate holdings, was a business broker and a business and personal consultant.

She is survived by her husband, Harry A.; two brothres; and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Florinda; three sons, Fredico Ybanez and Jerry Ybanez Jr., both of Las Vegas, and Danilo Ybanez of Los Angeles; two daughters, Maria Grania and Erlinda Salazar, both of Los Angeles; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Salvatore Zendano, 25, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 15, 1973, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a bartender.
