Letter: Another voice speaks on Mount Charleston development

We only have access to one mountain from the Las Vegas Valley. My family goes to the mountain to see birds and chipmunks and to picnic in the forest. When I want to go shopping, I go to one of the malls, and when I want to go "out," I go to the Strip or one of the hundreds of other casinos or lounges.

We have gotten caught in unexpected weather conditions at the mountain and cars were sliding all over the road. People stopped their cars for snow play, barely off the highway, causing near accidents. Now you want more congestion, traffic and people?

There are already many buildings and projects going up, and I don't understand why anyone would want any more. I am very saddened to see my favorite place in Las Vegas becoming so commercialized.
