Letter: At least some chimps were saved

The tireless efforts of KLAS Channel 8's George Knapp brought this issue to light in our community. Knapp was so outraged over the plight of our forgotten veterans, he recruited our own Sen. Harry Reid who, in turn, enlisted Sen. John Glenn, D-Ohio. Had it not been for the determination of these men, more than likely none of the chimps would have been saved.

Although saving all 141 chimps would have been ideal, saving 30 is better than zero. Thanks, gentlemen.
