Letter: Once in jail, it's too late

Regarding the letter from the Nevada Department of Prisons' inmate in Jean, who wrote that rehabilitation programs were inadequate: The first question to ask is "why" is he in prison instead of leading a decent life and getting his education as is supplied to every citizen of this country.
I love it. They go to prison and ask for rehabilitation: "GED," etc. When you are born, raised and educated in this wonderful country there is no reason to commit crimes -- really. Get a life. Taxpayers are sick of it.
