Additional changes for median on busy highway possible

Public safety officers have complained that the seven-mile long concrete barrier needs more than just one break for emergency vehicles.

Officials for the Nevada Department of Transportation balked at first because construction is set to begin next month. But NDOT officials said at a meeting Thursday they may consider additional turnarounds on the busy highway east of Spooner Summitt.
