Sheriff's office investigating death

The badly burned body of Duane Rambel, 37, was found Thursday in a burned trailer in Eureka County, Sheriff Ken Jones said Friday.

Rambel was the brother of Steven Rambel, 45, who is awaiting trial on a murder charge in the death of his wife.

Duane Rambel was burned over 90 percent of his body, Jones said. An autopsy was being performed but no other details have been released.

Steven Rambel is set to go to trial in Eureka County district court next month in the death of his wife, Betty Rambel, 39.

Her body was found last October in the trunk of her burned-out car at a gravel pit near Crescent Valley.
