Chief clerk of the Assembly dies

CARSON CITY -- A funeral is set for Wednesday for Linda B. Alden, chief clerk of the Nevada Assembly in 1997.
Alden died Friday after a long bout with cancer. She was 53-years old.
She worked for the state for 22 years and last year became chief clerk, who runs the day-to-day operation of the Assembly when it is in session.
Survivors include her husband Bruce of Carson City; two sons, a daughter, mother, sister, brother and six grandchildren. The funeral will be at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Carson City. She will be buried in Sheridan, Wyoming.
