Rebels lose to New Mexico

The Rebels dropped their second consecutive conference match Sunday at Peter Johann Memorial Field as they lost a 1-0 decision to New Mexico (9-4 overall, 2-0 WAC). UNLV's record falls to 6-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The 1-0 loss was the third such result in four games (1-0 to Stanford, 1-0 California).
The only score of the match came in the 24th minute when Justin Spence scored a goal off a ricocheted ball crossed by Ryan Turnello. New Mexico out shot the Rebels 13-9, including seven shots on goal to UNLVs three.
The Rebels go back on the road next weekend as they continue their conference schedule against Fresno State and San Jose State Friday and Sunday, respectively.
