Brief: PUC to decide on confidentiality issues

The company has submitted a list of documents it wants to be kept from the public for competitive reasons. Among them are divestiture and asset valuations, costs and savings estimates, financial forecasting, dividend policies, price-per-share documents, projected earnings and income tax matters.
Groups testifying in the hearing-- some of whom have already signed nondisclosure agreements -- say the merger should be completely open to public debate and want assurances the merged company is capable of performing as promised. The utility said some of its documents contain commercial information that could help competitors.
