Brief: Las Vegas company debuts travel web site

Company officials say travelscape.com, which made its first appearance on the Internet this week, is partnering with hundreds of hotel properties, airlines and car rental firms to attract below-market fares, special rates and preferential prices for its customers.

Travelscape.com's sister company, Las Vegas Reservation System Inc., already books more than 300,000 room nights a year in Las Vegas and the online company plans to branch into the nation's top 30 destination markets.

The company was founded and headed by Tim Poster.
