Brief: Reno Air profit up

Net income for the three months ended Sept. 30 amounted to 78 cents a share on revenues of $101 million compared to net income of $4.8 million or 39 cents a share on revenues of $105.2 million in the third quarter of 1997.

The company has cut costs this year by eliminating jobs and unprofitable flights.
