The stock fell 3 9/16 to 10 1/4 in late morning trading.
Titanium Metals is also known as Timet and has a big plant in Henderson just south of Las Vegas. Timet warned of lower demand as it released third-quarter earnings that were 15 cents a share below analysts' expectations.
The Denver-based company said net income fell 25 percent to $16.1 million, or 50 cents a share, from $21.4 million, or 64 cents, a year earlier. Revenue fell 2 percent to $173.5 million from $177.2 million.
