I don't think Canada can appoint one individual with an unrestricted mandate and an endless supply of the people's money, to spend this much time turning over rocks. I hope our parliamentary system never drops to this level of vindictiveness.
That one person, unelected no less, can call a president of the United States to account, gives me a whole new slant on the concept of democracy. It seems like a warped version of "The Crucible."
I agree with Thomas Friedman's column, "It's only world's future getting ignored," in the Oct. 16 copy of The Sun.
