Letter: This Bud's for Schumacher

I was very surprised to see Michael Schumacher's name in Ron Kantowski's column Monday. But it's too little, too late. If the local pundits had been dropping names like Schumacher, Villeneuve and Ferrari all along, then maybe we would have a Formula One race in Las Vegas in 2000. Too bad you had to wait until after the county commission voted down the proposed F1/golf course venue to try to educate the ever-growing racing public.
It was a good column, but I must say Ron is not trying hard enough if Sam Schmidt is the only driver with whom he has had a beer. I am just a fan with no credentials (press or otherwise) and I have drank beer with everybody from John Force to Rusty Wallace to Nigel Mansell (who likes his Guiness with a wedge of lemon).
