Letter: Military shouldn't criticize Clinton

Especially the officer class, which tries to act so sanctimonious about it. Of course, you have to realize that the "all voluntary" system has produced a mostly motley collection of malcontents, misfits, racists and self-righteous, right-wing zealots who probably would not accept any moderate, progressive and human president.

So President Clinton need not feel singled out. After all, the biggest mass murderer in American history, Tim McVeigh, was a product of the culture.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think they should be muzzled, but they should be exposed for where they come from so the American people can consider the source of these childish tirades against our president.

My opinion as expressed about the group is just an opinion of course, but I have a right to express it and I am darn sure going to. Having been in the service myself I have first-hand knowledge of the personal behavior and "morality" of the "troops," so I think I am on very safe ground in my excoriation of these hypocrites!
