Letter: New Yorker eager to see newest resort

I am celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in November, so I chose Las Vegas and we are staying at the Bellagio. You stated that they are going to have a hard time filling the rooms. This is just to let you know that I booked my vacation at the end of August, and we are staying 10 nights, more than the average stay you quoted.

I had gotten a package deal at a different hotel but it could not give me an upgrade so I called the Bellagio. All it could do for me was give me an upgrade for six nights, and I will have to move back down to a "run of the mill" room for the rest of the nights. I wrote the Bellagio a letter to see if they could do something to get the extra nights, but someone from the resort called me to say nothing could be done. So I can not see that they will have a problem filling the rooms.

I am just upset that, among all the hotels in Las Vegas -- and I've stayed at many, including the Mirage twice -- I cannot get an upgrade for 10 nights. If I would have known I would have booked another hotel for a nice room, but I had paid for my vacation already and am committed to the Bellagio.

But it looks beautiful and am looking forward to coming out at the end of November.
