Letter: Clinton not the enemy, but his tormentors are

This is a very powerful combination as the 30 percent are mostly very wealthy, if somewhat fruity characters, and of course the media has the power of opinion making and such a combination does not bode well for the moderate and progressive politicians and agendas embraced by most of the other 70 percent. The media have never liked Clinton and go about the process of ruining him with relish.

This same 30 percent supports ending Social Security and Medicare, abolishing public education, outlawing unions and collective bargaining, destroying the EPA and nullifying all its laws, repealing the separation of church and state and generally turning the country into a "survival of the fittest" jungle among other undesirable mischief.

By the way, have you noticed that those who so piously espouse the "sink or swim" ideology are safely ensconced on shore and are in no danger of drowning?

Finally, I must castigate those Democratic politicians and their erstwhile supporters in the media who are now joining the fruitcake 30 percent in calling for Clinton's resignation. I say to these people that sex is not a crime, so lying about it is also not a crime, and the president's personal life is none of your business, anyway. Clinton is not my enemy -- the 30 percent are!
