Letter: Article about Mirage's new 'no stroller' policy praised

I was so furious words could not express my anger. I was in the hotel on business and had my 2-year-old daughter with me. I went in to get three Siegfried and Roy tickets and tickets to the K-1 fights that were being held on the following Friday.

Our family company did bring all the fighters to the Mirage for that fight. We did all transportation and took care of most of their needs so the hotel would not be bothered with it, in a sense relieving them of the burden. How do you think I got treated in return?

They tried to boot me out at the front door. If it wasn't for the fact that my father is well-known by many Mirage employees I wouldn't have gotten any farther than the front door. Later there were calls made to Steve Wynn's office and to much avail they didn't care. What Wynn does not understand is that people and word of mouth do travel far in society.

Would you recommend anyone go to a hotel who blatantly discriminates against anyone who has children? Wynn has come out of this one looking like a money-hungry child hater. I applaud your paper for bringing this to everyone's attention, and thank you Melissa Schorr.
