Letter: One more time, Wynn is using schoolchildren as selling point

Now he wants millions of dollars in tax breaks for his art museum that he is using as a tout for his Bellagio casino and wants to charge a $10 admission fee to cover expenses. He says that every art museum in the world charges admission, but he neglects to mention that they are not inside a billion-dollar casino. He should chalk up the expenses to advertising, and he is not entitled to a tax break.
Wynn got his dolphins under the guise of education for schoolchildren. Now he says the art gallery will be used as an education tool for schoolchildren. I don't think very many schoolchildren are interested in the fine arts. Most of them would rather see a poster of Magic Johnson or Michael Jackson than a Picasso or a Renoir.
Most of the casinos already have learning tools for the children -- they call them kiddie arcades. I prefer to call them Kiddie Kasinos; they are a great tool for teaching the kids how to gamble.
