Letter: Public denied information concerning TWA Flight 800

Vernon L. Grose, a former National Transportation Safety Board member and a staunch defender of the official findings, described the briefing as an "eye-opener" that had caused him to change his mind about the cause of the crash. The AP cheated its clients, sending out a 300-word story that did not report Grose's change of mind or any of the evidence that changed it.

That evidence was published in a report replete with proof that the government has lied and hidden vital evidence. For example, it threw out the crucial last line of data from the plane's black box showing the impact of a warhead explosion. It ignored the accounts of more than 100 people who saw a missile.
