Letter: Underground car tunnel another case of poor judgment regarding land use

Downtown Las Vegas is still the butt of jokes on account of unwise use of public and private lands. In my opinion the "S," as in S-shaped, stands for stupid. If our hired hands really want to toy around with our money I suggest they play tic-tac-toe for the remaining crossings to be built for pedestrians.

Three O's means lots of pools for the rest of the Strip. Three X's could bring them back to reality and inspire them to build crossed, two-lane overpasses giving pedestrians the option to change direction in the middle of the street without interfering with traffic or getting hurt.

As a taxpayer I ask, please Marty Manning, stop playing around with our money.
