Letter: Visitor understands why strollers have been limited in casinos

Arriving in Las Vegas and walking up the flight ramp to the waiting room I found myself falling. Thank goodness my husband grabbed me so I would not fall flat of my face. It seems there was a very young girl pushing a baby, all but hidden with all her parcels in a stroller.

She was pushing as fast as she could walk when she hit my left heel, continued to run the stroller up my leg until she realized the stroller was at my knee and I was falling. She said, "Oh, I am sorry."

The next day we decided to visit as many casinos as we could. While at Caesars, looking to decide which machines we would play, again I was hit from the rear. This young man's power and strength was by far better. He hit both my heels, breaking the skin. He said, "I am sorry."

So now with stockings ruined, both heels bleeding, antibiotic and Band-Aids applied, I hobbled as we tried to enjoy our visit in this exciting town.

The following day all was going so well. As we walked on the sidewalk another young female, in a hurry, ran into me from the side. I was not hurt, just wondering what I had done to these young people pushing a precious cargo and not paying any attention to where they were pushing the child.

Do not criticize the Mirage or Treasure Island for not allowing strollers in (except those registered in the hotel). Perhaps they are looking after the well being of persons that have been hit, with actually no regard. I for one do not feel strollers have any place in a crowded, smoky hotel-casino.
