UNLV women's soccer team falls

The UNLV women's soccer team's three-game winning streak was snapped Wednesday as Cal State Northridge built a 3-1 second-half lead and held on for a 3-2 victory in Northridge, Calif. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Rebels tied the game on a Janae Sims goal in the 67th minute. But the Matadors scored twice in a six-minute span to go up 3-1 before Anita Pedford scored on a free kick in the 85th minute to pull the Rebels within one. UNLV, which dropped to 3-2 with the loss, returns home to Peter Johann Field for games Friday against Boise State and Sunday against Idaho State.
