Letter: Death of girl leaves questions unanswered

Despite the fact that Jeremy Strohmeyer will spend his life in prison, somehow it doesn't seem fair to little Sherrice Iverson.
She was an innocent little girl who should have been in her bed asleep. Perhaps she felt she would be "safe" by running into the women's restroom because it had "women" on the door. It makes one wonder why her brother couldn't come to her aid, because the father wouldn't.
What kind of parents would take their small children to the casino and then let them fend for themselves? They were warned several times and even left a nearby casino for not looking after his children.
The father should be charged with neglect and child abuse. This should be seriously looked into. Was gambling worth this?
As far as David Cash Jr., he should be charged as well. He stood outside the door and pretty much knew what was taking place. I hope it's not over for him. How can these people live with themselves? What's wrong with parents today? David Cash could have stopped this from happening.
