Obituaries for September 21, 1998

Shirlee A. Archangel, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in American Fork, Utah. She was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Steubenville, Ohio. A resident for 40 years, she was a retail sales manager for the last 20 years.

She is survived by one son, David, and one daughter, Dianne Brown, both of American Fork; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Oct. 10 at 3200 Mustang Road. Anderson & Sons Mortuary, American Fork, is handling arrangements.

DONNA RAE FOWLER

Donna Rae Fowler, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 30, 1947, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Owen P.; one daughter, Alana Fowler of Van Nuys, Calif.; her mother, Arlene F. Goeders of Las Vegas; one sister, Jaynie Wilkinson of Victorville, Calif.; one brother, Ted P. Goeders of West Covina, Calif.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Judi Mauro, 57, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 22 years, she was a slot hostess.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one brother, Robert Mills of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and one sister, Sharon Cook of Fairlawn, Ohio.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

ROGER P. MICHELETTY

Roger P. Micheletty, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 29, 1932, in France. A resident for 33 years, he was a master cook at Treasure Island and a member of the Culinary Union since 1965.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; five sons, Dino Micheletty and Fiorino Micheletty, both of Boise, Idaho, Antonio Micheletty of Henderson, John Micheletty of Las Vegas and Roger Micheletty Jr. of Seattle; one daughter, Esterina Micheletty of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

IRENE I. SCHAFER

Irene I. Schafer, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 10, 1941, in Bath, N.Y. A resident for nine years, she was a solder technician for a computer manufacturer.

She is survived by one son, Gerald Schafer of Hawaii; one daughter, Eva Willcox of Las Vegas; one brother, Lauren Blood of Duck Lake, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A private burial will follow.

CHARLES A. SIMS

Charles A. Sims, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born March 11, 1914, in Marlow, Okla. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired Air Force senior master sergeant and World War II and Korean War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Siri; two daughters, Victoria Ryan and Yvonne Riggan, both of Las Vegas; one brother, C.F. Sims of Roswell, N.M.; two sisters, Marjorie Anderson of Sun City West, Ariz., and Susan Fox of Lawton, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

MARIAN A. SUDGES

Marian A. Sudges, 79, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. She was born July 16, 1919, in Bloomington, Ill. A resident for 14 months, she was retired from the printing industry.

She is survived by two sons, Stuart Fitzpatrick of Anaheim, Calif., and Steven Fitzpatrick of Lancaster, Calif.; one daughter, Sharon Wolkowski of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Myron Perry Jr. and Louis Perry, both of Chicago; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 5 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
