Leroy "Sonny" Aukamp, 67, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born March 11, 1931, in Reading, Pa. A resident for two years, he was an exterminator for Citywide Pest Control, a Korean War Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion, a volunteer firefighter and a member of the Senior Citizens Softball league at Angel Park.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; four daughters, Susan Suihis, Shari Rogers and Tracey Aukamp, all of New Jersey, and Kim Irazzari of Pennsylvania; two sons, Stephen Trombetta of Colorado and Michael Trombetta of New Jersey; one sister, Barbara of Pennsylvania; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 7 p.m. service Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

J. Rose Bachmann, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Feb. 12, 1907, in Austria. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Rudy and Henry; one daughter, Marion R. Fries; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be noon Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.

Ruth Juanita Barnard, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local convalescent center. She was born May 21, 1921, in Iowa. A resident for 24 years, she was a cook.

She is survived by four daughters, Rosa Jean Oschman of Oconomowoc, Wis., Rosa Lee Barnard of Georgia, Hedy Miller of Milwaukee and Judy Barnard of Carpentersville, Ill.; one brother, James Hubbs of Las Vegas; one sister, Helen Shaw of Henderson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Norman Aaron Chohat, 71, of Henderson died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 27, 1927, in Connecticut. A resident for seven years, he was an electrical engineer and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ilse; two daughters, Stephine Hayes of Arizona and Leslie Andrews of Henderson; two sisters, Mary Ann Kaplan of Florida and Evelyn Hershaher of Connecticut; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Louise Francis Davis, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1905, in Bemidji, Minn. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Davis of Chico, Calif., and Richard Davis of Menlo Park, Calif.; one daughter, Catherine Sosnovske of Las Vegas; one sister, Catherine Thome of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 8901 Del Webb Blvd. Burial will be in California. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Robert E. Deike, 62, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Faribault, Minn. A resident for 27 years, he was the former owner of R.E. Deike Construction Co. in Faribault and Lake Havasu, Ariz., a retired affiliate with the Railroad Pass Casino, a Korean War Army veteran and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Theodore VanShel Assembly.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia M.; four sons, Brian R. Deike of Lakeville, Minn., and William M. Deike, Daniel P. Deike and Robert J. Deike, all of Las Vegas; two daughters, Karen E. Ryan and Sandra K. Wilson, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Delores Bultman of Kenyon, Minn., and Diane Bauer of Faribault; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday and 11 a.m.-noon Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

John Rex Farley, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born April 18, 1922, in Oklahoma. A resident for two years, he was a general cement contractor and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Terry, James and John; one daughter, Sherry Rasey; one brother, George Farley; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Helen A. Forshee, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 5, 1936, in Missouri. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Ronald Ray Forshee of North Las Vegas, Robert Forshee Jr. of Illinois and Roy Forshee of Missouri; one daughter, Joyce Cureton of Las Vegas; her mother, Mable William, and one sister, Brenda Boyer, both of Missouri; and four grandchildren.

Janice R. "Locke" Friedman, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born March 25, 1948, in Detroit. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her companion, Bill Snedden, two daughters, Jennifer Cerda and Jody Graham, and one son, Jason Locke, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Jack R. Friedman of Chesterton, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

Dorothy Eleanor Gregory, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for 25 years, she was a claims supervisor for Union Trust Co.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Gregory.

Rodney G. Jones, 54, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Nebraska. A resident for 35 years, he was a surveyor for the city of Las Vegas and a member of the Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; one daughter, Cari Gillins, and one son, Randall Jones, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will be in Cedar City, Utah.

Susan Lynn Kissner, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 28, 1950, in New Jersey. A resident for 28 years, she was a customer service representative at a local bank.

She is survived by two daughters, Holly Bischoff of Boston and Melissa Kissner of Las Vegas; one son, Max Kissner, and her mother, Betty Thomulka, both of Las Vegas; and one brother, Ken Thomulka of Pennsylvania.

Visitation will cotinue until 8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. service in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Miles F. Kuta, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 25, 1919, Chicago. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired sheet metal worker, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Sheet Metal Workers International Local 73.

He is survived by one daughter, Joan Angelo of Des Plaines, Ill.; two nephews, James Kuta and Charles Kuta, both of Elgin, Ill.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will continue until a 6 p.m. prayer service today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Paul David Langman, 49, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Cleveland. A resident for 28 years, he was disabled, was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Jewish War Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Tracie; one daughter, Jaimie Langman of Box Springs, Ga.; his parents, Jerry and Beverly Langman, and two brothers, Dale Langman and Steve Langman, all of Las Vegas.

Mary Legeika, 107, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. She was born Aug. 29, 1891, in Lithuania. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Al Markus of Boulder City; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Bertha Nelson, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 17, 1906, in Iowa. A resident for 15 years, she was a schoolteacher and a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one brother, Raymond Nelson; and one sister, Ardis Nelson.

Lillian Paluso, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Dec. 2, 1914, in Boston. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
