In contrast to the treatment Wynn received at a specially called Clark County Commission meeting, how much was the Pappas family ordered to take for their land in downtown Las Vegas to make way for another one of Wynn's casino amenities?

Wouldn't it have been a quid pro quo for our county leaders to have threatened Wynn with eminent domain if he did not accept what they may have reasonably considered to be market value for his land? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. And at least, the extension of Harmon Avenue is truly for a public use.

This shenanigan is a good reason why Nevada should follow New Jersey's and Michigan's lead, and prohibit political campaign contributions from casino interests.
