Letter: There's a lot of Captain Queeg in president's personality

His dismissive and pathetic attacks on the credibility of both Gennifer Flowers and Kathleen Willey bore an uncanny resemblance to the paranoid rationale displayed by Captain Queeg in the movie, "The Caine Mutiny." Just substitute the movie characters Lt. Steve Maryk and Lt. Willie Keith for Flowers and Willey and you'll see what I mean.

The diatribes by both Queeg and Clinton are identical, and the message was loud and clear: "It's not me -- it's them." All that was needed in the Clinton performance were the steel ball bearings.

Clinton's lack of candor and innate dishonesty is totally appalling, of course, but it his "Queeg" persona that is the most frightening and alarming to me and the greatest cause of concern in this sorry mess.

In the words of Oliver Cromwell, I say to Clinton, "Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"
