Orinne M. Anderson, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1934, in Minnesota. A resident for 13 years, she was a factory laborer.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest; three sons, Michael Darrell and Mark; two daughters, Judy and Darla; two brothers, Doug and Kenneth; one sister, Ruth; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
ALEKSANDRA 'SHURA' BARBIER
Aleksandra "Shura" Barbier, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. She was born Sept. 1, 1914, in Russia. A resident for 51 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Delta Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by one son, Robert; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 6 p.m. trisagion service today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Church services will be noon Saturday in St. Michael's Orthodox Church. Burial will be noon Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to St. Michael's Antiochian Orthodox Church Building Fund, 5719 E. Judson Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89115.
JOHN W. CARDER
John W. Carder, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1915, in Bradford, Ark. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired security officer at the Sahara hotel-casino for 15 years and a retired World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jane M.; two daughters, Cheryl D. Thompson of Las Vegas and Emily Carder of Chicago; one son, John E. Carder of Geneva, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. Sunday in the fireside room at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Monday in the chapel at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home.
THEODORE CALVIN GETTINGS
Theodore Calvin Gettings, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Gail Rocke and Pamela Hamman; two brothers, Duane and Dwight Gettings; two sisters, Celeste Gettings and Linda Withrow; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were 9:15 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
LOIS LACKEY
Lois Lackey, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 12, 1919, in War Eagle, W.Va. A resident for 18 years, she was a Metro records clerk.
She is survived by three sons, Paul Lackey, William Lackey and Russell Lackey; one stepson, David Craig; one stepdaughter, Linda Guamling; one brother, George Cole; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

KHANEUY SAYABOUAPHENG
Khaneuy Sayabouapheng, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 1, 1908, in Laos. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Kongpheth of Laos; five daughters, Bouavanh of Las Vegas, Khameuy of Denver and Khankeo, Sengnouane and Bounpheng, all of Laos; 47 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon today, Saturday and Sunday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, with services following the Sunday visitation. Burial will be in Laos.
LORINDA 'RINDY' SCHERER
Lorinda "Rindy" Scherer, 49, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1948, in Syracuse, N.Y. A resident for four years, she was an account executive for an insurance company.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Scherer, and one brother, Richard Scherer, both of Las Vegas.

Ernest N. Sigur Sr., 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Franklin, La. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired airline passenger relations representative and a World War II Merchant Marine.
He is survived by one son, Ernest Sigur Jr. of Somerset, N.J.; three daughters, Brenda Lee and Valerie Paige, both of Staten Island, N.Y., and Gloria Johanzerizabeh of Houston; one sister, Ruby Jones of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
CAROL W. SMITH
Carol W. Smith, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born July 6, 1924, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for six years, she was a retired real estate broker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Greg Smith of Las Vegas and Brian Smith of Houston; and one brother, John Wenig of Calumet City, Ill.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.
MERL D. STONG
Merl D. Stong, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1911, in North Dakota. A resident for seven years, he was a welder.
He is survived by four sons, Bruce of Alabama, and Gregory, Daniel and Joseph, all of Milwaukee; four daughters, Barbara of North Carolina, Karin and Diann, both of Las Vegas and Mary of Milwaukee; one brother, Roland, and one sister, Reenie, both of Wisconsin; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

MELVIN THALL
Melvin Thall, 73, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 21, 1925, in Manchester, N.H. A resident for two years, he was a retired logistician in the aerospace industry, a World War II Army veteran, president of the Computer Club of Sun City, McDonald Ranch, co-chairman of Community on Patrol, member of the Hebrew Club and the Social Butterflies.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; three daughters, Faith Cohen of Torrance, Calif., Susan Gorodetzer of Niles, Ill., and Janice Greene of Skokie, Ill.; three sons, Irwin Thall of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Howard Thall of Placentia, Calif., and Charles Kantro of Palatine, Ill.; one sister, Sally Bennett of Fort Meyers, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.

MARY JANE 'JANIE' TULL
Mary Jane "Janie" Tull, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 26, 1938, in New Haven, Conn. A resident for 19 years, she was a supermarket clerk.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce and Rick; one daughter, Holly; three sisters, Katherine of West Virginia, Anna of Nebraska and Frances of Nevada; and four grandchildren.

John Michael Walters, 50, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1948, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a courier for a health service organization and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, Bryan Walters; three daughters, Tina Walters, Veronica and Michelle; two brothers, Leonard and Anthony Wojciechiowicz; and one sister, Louise.
