Rebels defeated in Baltimore

Both of UNLV's singles entries lost in the first round of the main draw Thursday at the National Clay Court Championships in Baltimore.
Unseeded Asaf Tishler fell to second-seeded Pancho Rodriguez of Alabama, 7-6, 6-3. Tishler rebounded in the consolation bracket, however, winning 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 over Doug Bahaboy of Northwestern.
Also, Nenad Zivkovic lost both of his matches and was eliminated. The sophomore fell 7-6, 6-2 to Adam Seri of Georgia in the main draw and then lost to James Shortall of Mississippi, 7-6, 4-6, 6-3, in consolation play.
