Las Vegas City Council: Spending approvals

How the Las Vegas City Council voted Monday to spend tax dollars:

$880,454: To Las Vegas Paving Corp. for the Upland Boulevard improvements from Charleston to Jones boulevards, including new pavement, curbs, gutters and sidewalks.

$780,117: To California Pavement Maintenance Co. for the annual contract for slurry seal, a road treatment process, at various locations throughout the city.

$75,000: To Stewart and Stevenson Power Inc., of Phoenix, Ariz., for the annual contract of manufacturer replacement parts for Waukesha engines at the Water Pollution Control Facility.

$60,000: To Barr Limited Liability Co. for the annual landscape silt contract.

$45,000: To Certified Laboratories for a supplement to the annual contract for ferrous chloride, which is used to control odors at the Water Pollution Control Facility. This supplement brings the city's estimated annual contract for ferrous chloride to $221,150.

$35,375: To Sympro Inc., of Emeryville, Calif., for training and implementation of the Sympro Treasury Management Software and maintenance of the software for one year.

$30,850: To Alfa Laval Separation Inc., of Warminster, Pa., to rebuild an Alfal Laval centrifuge rotating assembly, which is used by the Water Pollution Control Facility to thicken sludge by removing the water.
