Letter: It's easier to forgive Clinton than his enemies

This ordeal could have been ended much sooner if the inquisitor had given Monica Lewinsky and her mother the immunity that he finally did.

His reasons are suspect.

President Clinton's actions, though shameful, are more understandable and forgivable than are the mean-spirited actions of his enemies.

Also suspect are the dribbling out of the boxes of information. The House members are underestimating the intelligence of the American people.
