Letter: White House spin crew have outdone themselves

Spin No. 1 -- President Clinton has gone back "to work" for the American people. Now, how is is running hither and yon around the country attending Democratic Party political fund-raisers even remotely deemed going back to work for the American people?

His fund-raising teas, dinners and coffee klatches appear to be his sole reason for existence. Is his job load so light that nobody in Washington needs him? Apparently so.

Spin No. 2 -- Clinton's reason for vetoing any tax cut for the American people is to save Social Security. (No, he didn't use the "for the children" routine. Recent polls taken by his advisers indicated that "for the children" had been overused.)

Let's tell it like it really is -- Clinton wants to dole out additional billions of dollars to Russia as the $33 billion dollars that we have already given is not enough to satisfy Clinton's "New World Order" advocates. It's immaterial that all this money has found its way into the greedy pockets of the so-called privatized industry leaders.

Spin No. 3 -- Clinton is responsible for a balanced budget. I'd sure like to see this great budget when the Social Security reserves are taken out of the government's general account and put back into the people's trust account, where they legally belong. When this accounting error is corrected ... well, I'll be, we have a 43 billion dollar deficit.

The Clintons are very fortunate to be occupying the White House in the 1990s -- an age of an indifferent, uninformed, uneducated and amoral society.

A glance at the state of our current culture will tell you all you need to know as to why we have who we have occupying the highest elected office in the land.
