Alliance, GTECH in pact

Bally will make the devices for GTECH's Dreamport subsidiary, which provides video lottery products and services to jurisdictions throughout the world.
Las Vegas-based Alliance sells gaming devices and systems worldwide, is the nation's largest slot route operator and operates two regional casinos. The agreement calls for it to offer its GameMaker and Game Magic product lines to Dreamport for distribution to video-lottery markets.
"By combining the technical capability of Bally Gaming with Dreamport's top revenue-producing games, we will create a brand of gaming devices that will drive the growth of the video lottery market," Dreamport President John Taylor said.
"This agreement presents an excellent opportunity to expand our product line, extend our customer base and utilize the enormous strength of our engineering and manufacturing resources," said Alliance President Morry Goldstein.
GTECH stock was quoted at $24.875, up 43.75 cents a share, in midday trading today, while Alliance Gamine was down 6.25 cents to $4.375 a share.
