McKinney-James joins board

McKinney-James is president and chief executive officer of the Las Vegas-based Corporation for Solar Technology and Renewable Resources. Prior to that, she served as director of Nevada's Department of Business Industry, supervising 29 state regulatory agencies, boards and commissions.
Her election brings to five the number of outside directors on the company's eight-member board. Circus executives couldn't be reached for comment today on why the board was expanded.
Circus stock was trading at $17.4375, up 6.25 cents, in midday trading today. The company owns 11 casinos in Nevada, a hotel-casino in Tunica, Mississippi, and a 50 percent interest in an Elgin, Ill., riverboat.
