National Gaming Conference set

The conference provides training opportunities for property directors and their staff, accountants, internal auditors, in-house counsel, attorneys, regulators, industry consultants and financial representatives.

Formerly called the Financial Executives Gaming Conference, the conference topics include federal and state regulations as well as legislative, legal, financial, cash management and taxation issues.

Other subjects include an economic outlook for the gaming industry, a technology forum including Year 2000 topics, new games on the horizon and a Securities and Exchange Commission update.

In past years the conference has attracted about 300 people.

The main speaker this year is Bill Bible, former chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and a member of the National Gambling Impact Commission.

The conference costs $495 for 16 hours of continuing professional education. A separate seminar on advance casino accounting issues costs $225.
