Detroit gaming conference set

Casino Journal Publishing Group Inc. of Las Vegas said it's teaming with the Michigan law firm of Fraser Trebilcock Davis & Foster to produce the Northern Gaming Summit, a conference and trade show for casino executives, gaming vendors, public officials and Indians in Detroit on Oct. 12-14.
Detroit was selected as the conference site because its three temporary casinos plan to be open by the October date.
The event also includes seminars on Indian casinos in such places as Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Canada; as well as Canada's government-owned casinos.
Other Casino Journal Publishing Group trade shows include the American Gaming, Lodging and Leisure Summit, the Southern Gaming Summit, UNLV's Casino Ops; and the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.
