Jose Ramon Adorno, 45, of North Las Vegas died March 28 in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 2, 1953, in Puerto Rico. A resident for many years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; four brothers, Elias Adorno and Israel Adorno, both of Las Vegas, and Johnnie Adorno and Papo Adorno, both of New York; and two sisters, Iris Adorno of New York and Gloria Adorno of Puerto Rico.

Visitation is scheduled 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Rudy Brooks

Rudy Brooks, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Chicago. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired dock foreman for a trucking company, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Jewish War Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Marion; two sons, Harlan J. Brooks of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Bryan E. Brooks of Las Vegas; one sister, Sophie Skier of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Jewish War Veterans.

Anna Dalaskey

Anna Dalaskey, 101, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 28, 1897, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by one stepson, Eugene Dalaskey of Venice, Fla.; one brother, Frank Blazek of Las Vegas; and one sister, Blanche Lederer of Chicago.

Marion Fox

Marion Fox, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 3, 1933, in New Jersey. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired hotel vacation saleswoman.

She is survived by her husband, Marshall R.; one son, Marshall R. Fox II , and her mother, Claire Dew, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, Barbara Steele of Santa Rosa, Calif., Pamela Campbell of Los Angeles and Debra Walker of Las Vegas; two brothers, Richard Drosky of Buffalo, N.Y., and Jack Barry of Palmdale, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Robert Eugene Franz

Robert Eugene Franz, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. A resident for 10 years, he was born Jan. 14, 1932.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Ione; one son, Robert David Franz; four daughters, Sue Rosner, Kathy Clifford, Delores Lowrance and Ethel Bersuch; his mother, Mamie Ethel Franz; three brothers; two sisters; and four grandchildren.

Velma C. Goettsch

Velma C. Goettsch, 90, of Boulder City died Thursday. She was born Feb. 9, 1909, in Bellingham, Wash.

She is survived by one daughter, Judith Doyle of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Jack Richard Hendershot

Jack Richard Hendershot, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. He was born July 26, 1929, in Kansas. A resident for 19 years, he was an airline pilot and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Geraldine Schroeder of Kansas.

Mae Henry

Mae Henry, 96, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born July 24, 1902, in Belmont, Wash. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker and was retired.

She is survived by 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Wilfred Aylif Hoole

Wilfred Aylif Hoole, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Africa. A resident for four years, he was a retired real estate broker and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Olive; two sons, Wilfred George Hoole and Charles Williams Hoole; and three grandchildren.

Louis Joe Loncaric

Louis Joe Loncaric, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1913, in Pennsylvania. A resident for six months, he was a hotel maintenance worker and an Army veteran.

Gerald McManus

Gerald McManus, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 25, 1929, in Lewiston, Idaho. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired automotive service technician and a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; three daughters, Susan of Rocklin, Calif., and Monica Maxwell and Martine McManus, both of Las Vegas; one brother, James R. Becker of Dallas; and seven grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Matthew Christopher Nesbitt

Matthew Christopher Nesbitt, 38, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 15, 1960, in Florida. A resident for many years, he was a self-employed landscaper.

He is survived by his companion, Cheryll of Las Vegas; his mother, Meredith Nesbitt, and one sister, Lisa Nesbitt, both of Orange Park, Fla.

Marilyn A. O'Leary

Marilyn A. O'Leary, 67, of Las Vegas died March 30 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Princeton, Ind. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired credit union loan counselor.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Philip O'Leary; two daughters, Shawn O'Leary and Erin Kauffman, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Philip M. O'Leary of Las Vegas, Patrick O'Leary of Columbia, S.C., and Timothy O'Leary of Homer, Alaska; one brother, James Wilson of Princeton; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Salvation Army, 2900 Palamino Lane. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Fred A. Olson, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born April 4, 1921, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for 19 years, he was Merchant Marines veteran, a member of Paradise Democratic Club, Citizens Water Board, Nevada Association of Manufactured Homeowners and Seniors United.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; one son, Jaime Benita of Shelton, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

Dixie E. Poser

Dixie E. Poser, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Belleville, Ill. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired real estate agent and a volunteer for Metro Police.

She is survived by one daughter, Kay Mastin of Las Vegas; one son, Clyde Poser of Buckley, Wash.; one sister, Juanita Morris of Illinois; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in University United Methodist Church, 4412 S. Maryland Parkway. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Marcia J. Roland, 67, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, she was a retired manager of military sales.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Ima B. Scott, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 13, 1915, in Ashwood, Texas. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Edith Mauck of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Pete S. Tafoya

Pete S. Tafoya, 75, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 31, 1924, in Arizona. A resident for 24 years, he was a carpenter and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie; four sons, Rudy Vallez of Henderson, Arthur Vallez of Madera, Calif., Frank Tafoya of Seattle and Roy Rodriguez of Winslow, Ariz.; four daughters, Becky Tafoya of Henderson, Linda Perez and Cecilia Gallegos, both of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Roseanne Sachs of Kingston, Pa.; three sisters, Teresa Sarabia of Canyon Country, Calif., Liz Guerrero of Winslow and Mary Ortega of Woodlawn Hills, Calif.; 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. services Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Herman Touchton

Herman Touchton, 68, of Pahrump died Friday in Pahrump. He was born July 14, 1930, in Perry, Fla. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired paper maker, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 798 in Philadelphia, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; four daughters, Dr. Violet Touchton-Hollenbeck of Watertown, N.Y., Rita Barton of Pahrump, Yvonne Rettagliata of Ehrenberg, Ariz., and Carolyn Peebles of Henderson; two brothers, Carey Calvin Touchton of Greenville, Fla., and William Touchton of De Funiak Springs, Fla.; one sister, Judy Touchton of Rutherfordton, N.C.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in First Southern Baptist Church, Pahrump, followed by graveside services in Chief Tecopa Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
