Editorial: 'Neighborhood rage' over traffic speeders

The Clark County Commission has endorsed a plan that may offer some relief for these neighborhoods. If residents believe this is a chronic problem, they can apply to get speed-control devices, including one-way roads, circular islands in intersections, narrowed streets and possibly barriers that create cul-de-sacs. The costs for the improvements would have to be shared by the homeowners. While this program won't solve all traffic woes, it will empower neighborhoods to make their streets safer if the situation has become intolerable.
