Letter: Anti-Kosovo crowd just hates Clinton

This same crowd keeps whining that we didn't "intervene in Rwanda so why Kosovo?" Well, I wonder the same thing about Rwanda, but does anybody for one minute believe his crowd would have intervened in Rwanda anyway, had they been in power? After all, there is no oil there either!

It is no surprise to me his crowd is against the Kosovo operation because it is mostly a humanitarian-driven campaign and his crowd places no value in humanitarianism, especially where the U.S. government is involved. Now if there was oil there or if there were dark-skinned communists there (Milosevic is a fair-skinned communist) and there was a Republican president, well ...

Which brings up the question of why his crowd, which has shouted ad nauseam against anything resembling communism, would sympathize with the communist Serbs? Why, there are some of his ilk who have bordered on committing treason by supporting the enemy in time of war. It's one thing to question the policy and another to personally attack the president and to sympathize with the enemy. My opinion is their attitude is entirely driven by hatred of President Clinton.

Where was Bencivenga when Reagan and Bush were playing cowboys in Grenada, Panama, Libya, Lebanon and yes, Kuwait, where the main purpose was to protect authoritarian sheiks and preserve cheap gasoline to be wasted in the gas guzzling United States?
