Letter: God's not a bigot; some people are

You and I will not agree on certain things, because you use faith and I use reason. I believe each is useful and not mutually exclusive, i.e., reason tells me that flying is safer than driving yet whenever I board an airplane I have faith that it will reach its destination with me still intact.
You are correct in the belief that God is not a bigot, but the people and cultures that edit the Bible certainly have been and will continue to be bigoted to serve their own ends.
