Letter: Tell legislators to back flat tax

The time for a call to the flat tax system is now. We do not need any more class war rhetoric about who is or is not paying "their fair share." We will all be paying equally. Every taxpayer in American will be paying one even percentage rate.

No more favoritism toward some citizens and harassment of others. No more loopholes. No tax breaks for corporations. No tax shelters. No depreciation schedules. No tables. Nothing.

If you are tired of more than 480 different tax forms, and the more than 280 forms that explain how to fill out these forms, tell your legislators that you want them to support a flat tax system. It is time to take back our freedom and stop this senseless waste of government bureaucracy.
