If the tribe's position is upheld through the legal appeals process, Detroit city officials could ultimately be forced to repeat the entire process of picking groups to run the three casinos allowed by city statute.

The local casino developers are Greektown and the Atwater/Circus Circus group -- Atwater being from Detroit and Circus Circus from Las Vegas. The third developer is MGM Grand of Las Vegas.
