Donald Rex Beach, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Herrin, Ill. A resident for 17 years, he was a self-employed real estate appraiser.

He is survived by four sons, Joseph Beach and Steven Beach, both of Batavia, Ill., Gerard Beach of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Matthew Beach of Las Vegas; two daughters, Claudine Beach of Las Vegas and Rose Anne Lorenz of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Ruth Fee of Akron, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

Helen Bratton

Helen Bratton, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Frankfurt, Ind. A resident for 36 years, she was a typographical artist for the Las Vegas Sun from March 29, 1970, until May 5, 1989.

She is survived by four sons, Jesse Bratton of Pahrump and Randolph Bratton, William Bratton Jr. and Timothy Bratton, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Carole Moran of Las Vegas; two sisters, Jo Vaughn of Columbus, Ohio, and Thelma Beets of Sedalia, Ind.; three brothers, Edward Young and Wayne Young, both of Frankfurt, and Dale Young of Crawfordsville, Ind.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Josephine Bredice

Josephine Bredice, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 22, 1919, in Waterbury, Conn. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Bob Bredice of Las Vegas; and one sister, Caroline Sabia of Waterbury, Conn.

Services will be in Waterbury. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Benigna Ibanez Brillantes

Benigna Ibanez Brillantes, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 14, 1915, in the Philippines. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by five daughters, Anacorita Brown and Bianita Mate, both of Las Vegas, Belen Torrance of San Antonio and Irene Castillo and Linda Misahon, both of the Philippines; and one son, Alejandro Brillantes of the Philippines; 45 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Shirley Brown

Shirley Brown, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 11, 1915, in Russia. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Milt Brown of Atlantic City, N.J., and Jerry Brown and Harvey Brown, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Nathan Bressler of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Eragon C. Calhoun

Eragon C. Calhoun, 74, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Venice, Calif. A resident for 27 years, he was an automobile and truck mechanic and a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Michelle Calhoun; one son, Carlie Calhoun; two stepsons, Stephen Gallivan of Sacramento and David Gallivan of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

James Anthony Collins

James Anthony Collins, 33, of Las Vegas died April 3 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 8, 1965, in North Carolina. A resident for nine months, he was an entertainment director.

He is survived by his father, Troy Collins of Los Angeles.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Carol 'Billie' Davis

Carol 'Billie' Davis, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 17, 1928, in Tower City, Pa. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired owner and co-founder of Cedco Inc. Construction Co.

She is survived by her husband, Ted; two daughters, Cindi Fox and Robyn Gable, and three sons, Ted Davis Jr., Bill Davis and Mike Davis, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Alma Buggy of Tower City, Margie Williams of Sunbury, Pa., and Beryl Bashore of Merritt Island, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Marietta R. DeMoss

Marietta R. DeMoss, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 1, 1942, in Denver. A resident for 55 years, she was a university registrar office clerk and a member of PEO Chapter P.

She is survived by one son, Daniel DeMoss of Las Vegas; and one brother, Daniel Ross of Clifton, Va.

Peter A. Griffith, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Lake Charles, Ill. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired dealer and pit boss.

He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Younger of Seattle and Betty Tyner of Detroit; and two brothers, Thomas Griffith of Chicago and James Griffith of Las Vegas.

Lillian Pauline Henderson

Lillian Pauline Henderson, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 16, 1921, in Arkansas. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired assembler for a circuit board manufacturer.

She is survived by one daughter, Pam Ruatto of Anchorage, Alaska; two sons, Dade henderson and Steve Henderson, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be in Alaska. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Dorothy C. Kienzle

Dorothy C. Kienzle, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 26, 1918, in New Castle, Pa. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker and was retired.

She is survived by one sister, Patricia C. Stockman of West Covina, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park.

Chester A. Lisiewski

Chester A. Lisiewski, 79, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a veterans hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1919, in Milwaukee. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired carpenter, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and prisoner of war, a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the International POW Association and a founding member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St.

He is survived by two nephews, Thomas Lisiewski and Ronald Lisiewski, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. rosary today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park.

John Arthur McCoy

John Arthur McCoy, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 19, 1923, in Detroit. A resident for 18 years, he was an electrician, a Navy veteran, a member of Electricians Local 158 and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

He is survived by his wife, Fannie; one daughter, Peggy Brey of Novi, Mich.; one nephew, Jerry McCoy of Brown City, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

Stephan L. Meyer

Stephan L. Meyer, 37, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 1, 1962, in Newark, N.J. A resident for eight years, he was a gaming security officer and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother, Adrianne Volker of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Joseph Fiore of Wilmington, N.C., and Christian Fiore of Nashua, N.H.

Darwin L. Neal, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 19, 1927, in Ohio. A resident for three years, he was a retired airline ramp server and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy A. Hinshaw of Las Vegas; one son, Sam Adler of Vancouver, Wash.; one sister, Dorothy Krumm of Toledo, Ohio; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jennie H. Peters

Jennie H. Peters, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born July 26, 1923, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired retail sales clerk, a member of Daylite Chapter 30 and past worthy matron of Cedar Chapter 20.

She is survived by one daughter, Roberta Peters of Las Vegas; and one son, Barry Gillette of Salt Lake City.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

James H. Stafford, 59, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 9, 1940, in Chicago. A resident for 23 years, he was a security guard and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Leah Faye; three sons, Richard M. Stafford and Troy M. Stafford, both of Denver and Scott M. Stafford of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

Marie Belle Dozier Streb

Marie Belle Dozier Streb, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 28, 1910, in Palestine, Texas. A resident for one year, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Jones of Las Vegas; one sister, Genevieve Webb of Houston; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren

Irene May Thornton-Rate, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born June 12, 1920, in England. A former Las Vegas resident for 30 years and more recently a Las Vegas resident for 1 1/ 2 years, she was a retired hotel showroom waitress -- 10 years at the Union Plaza and 35 years at the Desert Inn.

She is survived by three sons, Carter Thornton and Joseph Thornton, both of Las Vegas, and James Thornton of Millcreek, Okla.; one daughter, Mary Slaughter of Sulpher, Okla.; one brother, Robin Edmond of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mary F. Winfree

Mary F. Winfree, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 5, 1937, in Pasadena, Calif. A resident for 17 years, she was a foster parent, a member of the Literacy Council, Salvation Army and the Association for the Handicapped.

She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Winfree-Beaumont, Vicky Darling and Lanita Winfree, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
